Night; I play my song of requiem

On the 22nd of April, 2006, my school held it's 12th speech and prize presentation day. It was an official school event and thus, it was compulsory for all of the students to attend. I woke up at 6 something in the morning to get ready for the school event....man, I hate waking up early....I met with my friends and we all went to the school together. Fearing of becoming late, I rushed out of the house after brushing up and didn't even eat any breakfast. Luckily, there was a 'mama shop' near my school and thus, I could buy something to eat. We reach there about 8 a.m, I guess? All of the pupil audience had to assemble and meet up with Mr. Wong, to take our attendance. We went up to the hall after that and soon, the event starts. Firstly, it was the G.O.H coming in with other guests and we sang our school song. After that was the speech held by my principal and the GOH. But something unhappy happened.......the GOH was talking about a suicide case and there were the us, the pupil audience, laughing away as if it was a joke.......it was not something happy about.....it was hot and stuffy in the hall as I have to button up my collar and the speech was quite boring to me but in the end I still learn something meaningful, so it wasn't that bad after all. Then finally. Came my school concert band which played two songs. I don;t know the name of the songs which they had played but it was fantastic! I love the first song that they had played! There was also the chinese dance performance, the ELDDS skit about my school, core values, PRIDE. Even though the mike had a little problem, but it still went out great! It was quite an event!
